One of my favorite parts of being both a buyer and a blogger is being able to preview collections early. I love getting advance notice of what’s going to be in stores when and I’m happy to get to share that with you! Besides just the thrill of preview, I find it a wonderful way to plan my wardrobe. One part is seeing what’s trending, but also to make sure to mark something as a must-have for the future is really priceless. So let’s get started so I can present the Macy’s bar III preview!
Above I have a small snippet of the bar III front row collection, which is currently in stores. If you remember, I showed you some of these pieces when I attended the last preview. We have the Moto Vest (which I’ve been eyeing),a wonderfully shaggy merlot top (in stores only) with the scroll necklace, and then the studded sheath (which you will soon see me in)!
The highlight of the spring snapshot was the outerwear. The jackets were buttery soft faux leather mixed and some versatile vests with some exotic touches. I loved that the color scheme wasn’t overly springy and laced with pastels and florals. Instead there were pops of red, fresh stripes, tribal prints, and some muted neutrals. The jewelry was also a strong collection and one to keep your eye on. Laced with baby blues, yellows, and some neons, it was a great transition of modernity. I can just see wearing those baby blue dangling earrings now!
Now, I know I normally don’t show you menswear, but this was too good not to show you! For the level of detail in this collection, I was surprised at the amazing price points. From the double labels, creamy suede, and miniature buttons, this is a great choice for a look that makes a statement, but not in an overly trendy way. I would highly suggest it for the man in your life!
Overall, I was really impressed. Bar III has this way of creating collections that scream of the season’s zeitgeist without being 100% on trend. The pieces really have lasting power and contain a seasonless versatility. If you don’t already, I would add them to your shopping roster. It’s a great, affordable way to keep your wardrobe looking current, modern, and fun.
