Bondage Fashion

On the spring runways, we witnessed the return of bondage and S & M inspired styles. From unending leather to harnesses and studs, the fashion world couldn’t get enough of kink.  Personally, I’ve been a fan of this look for a while. I love the contrast of a rough, rigid accessory on a delicate female. I think it can be very empowering and sexy, yet make a strong statement about self control. And now with the MET announcing their new exhibit for 2013 as “Punk: From Chaos to Couture,” I think these brusque styles are here to stay.

What are your thoughts on the bondage trend?

This look scares me :) But I definitely admire it on other people. I’ll keep my spikes to my bracelets.

Hehe. It’s really not for everyone. Honestly, most people think it’s ironic that I like it since I’m generally pretty easy going and bubbly.
