Yesterday afternoon, I attended the Closet Raid Swap hosted by Kimberlee of I Have A Degree In This. Have you ever been to a swap before? Here’s the deal. You bring in items you don’t want anymore, but still in good condition. For each item you bring, you are entitled to swap an equal amount of items. For the items remaining, Goodwill, Room to Grow, and WGirls were on hand to accept donations.
I had never been participated in a swap before, but it seemed quite enticing based on the fact that I’m on a tight budget right now with the wedding and all. I brought in over 20 items, but left with 3, which you will see in a later post. It was a great way to spring clean, mingle, and enjoy a Saturday afternoon.
Throughout the day, we munched on fancy cheeses, sipped Domaine Carneros sparkling wine, and ate calorie-conscious treats from Guiltless Baker. And it was also the perfect event to show off my feather top and Pauletta Brooks earrings!
I just want to thank Kimberlee (in front) again for hosting such a great event. I fully support repurposing clothing and accessories and giving some of my unused items loving new homes.
Do you ever swap?
