As with most of my friendships, I met Diana through #BlogTrends. She’s a wonderful, friendly person that I always look forward to catching each Monday night.  She has such great taste and I really look forward to seeing what she does in the future!

Dressed for Paris

When my husband and I were still dating, the stars seemed to align perfectly so that we were able to escape to Paris for a week. That trip created a very lasting memory for the both of us and I constantly daydream about going back. Of course my first visit showed me every bit a tourist due to my horrid French and insatiable need to capture everything on camera. The hope is that I blend in a bit more naturally next time, especially regarding the current fashion trends. Were I to visit Paris this summer, I would pack lightly but keep the following trends in mind so as to *almost* make for a believable Parisian. ;)

Stripes Are Back
From sailor blouses to an array of striped sundresses you are bound to blend into the crowd seamlessly with this casual look. Feel free to let stripes carry over into your pants, skirts and even bags!
Ocean Inspired Fashion
Royal blues, turquoise blends and mermaid greens are covering everything from satchels to wedges. In Paris, white pants are always in fashion so top your capris or skinny jeans with a bright oceanic blue or green and voila! Don’t forget to pick out some oceanic jewelry too. There is an abundance of sea creatures, shells and more making their way onto the jewelry scene and these pieces are perfect for creating a fun summer look!
Shorts & Strappy Wedges
If you’ve got the legs, then flaunt them I say… and Parisians agree. Pairing some sandal wedges with your shorts can keep you looking casual but chic and while neutrals are always in style don’t be afraid to brazenly opt for bright colors too. Nude colored sandals with a splash of orange or blue can really turn up the volume!
Shades of Orange
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock recently you know that orange hues are quite popular this season and not just in Paris. Whether opting for a bright tangerine top, subtle orange dress, or soft apricot toned scarf you are choosing correctly. Have fun with it!  My favorite is a mix of tangerine with fuschia.
Convertible Satchels
This is the perfect type of bag, in my opinion, since you have the option to carry it two different ways and it’s currently the go-to bag for Paris ladies. Again you will see neutrals and tans in abundance, but one should never be afraid to splash some color into their fashion routine especially with bright hues in season!
Florals
Paris has hundreds of gardens and many of them are hidden throughout the city but worth the find. You’ll notice that summer scarves adorned with blossoms as well as floral dresses and tops are in demand and assisting with making this city even more beautiful!
Since Paris fashion is always trendy no matter where you live then you can’t go wrong with choosing some of the ideas above and increasing your fashion sense this season. Don’t forget to don a light scarf now and then too! Enjoy and Au revoir!
