Back when I visited the Prada x Schiaparelli exbibit, this dress hit me. For a creation from the 1930′s, this dress was pretty radical. I don’t think most people would imagine their favorite food on their dress even in this day and age. Could you imagine? Lasagna skirts, cheeseburger shoes, sushi shirts, oh my! Alas, people have done it (see the infamous Miss Isabella Blow above) and thank goodness for them. Who doesn’t love lobster? (You can see my documented love affair with lobster here.)

Fast forward a few weeks and Moda Operandi is having a Tibi trunk show. Alas, it is now over, but this lobster skirt was right on my radar. It’s pretty awesome, right?

While I don’ t have the funds or commitment necessary for a bold skirt, I figured I could incorporate something fun in my wardrobe. While I was visiting my grandparents this past weekend, I came across my grandmother’s large earring collection. In her jewelry box was a pair of lobster stud earrings. I think it was a sign.
So I researched and found a dangly pair on my own. How fun would these be with an all white ensemble? And finally, I came upon this masterpiece.
Come on. This might be a little too wild for some people, but if you’re getting dressed, you might as well make a statement. I would rock this so quick.
Would you wear food fashion?
