Multi-Use Beauty Products

When it comes to beauty and skincare, I like to consider myself a minimalist. I love trying new products, but I don’t keep them around unless they produce results. Living on a budget and in a very expensive city is one thing, but also living in a tiny apartment is another. I’ve found that the best recipe for success for me is multi-use products to save on space and money.

When I was approached about Bio-Oil, I was a little skeptical. It’s supposed to help with skin discoloration, stretch marks, and scars, as well as.  Most products don’t even seem to help with a single one of those problems, so you can believe my surprise when it did work.

I shouldn’t be embarrassed about stretch marks, but I am. It pains me that I have them without having the perk of a child.  Regardless, this was my focus when I tried out Bio-Oil.  Within two weeks of daily use, it’s significantly improved their severity.  I also used some on my cheeks because I’ve always had a touch of redness, a natural blush, as I call it. My face seems to have evened out a little bit and I can definitely tell when I’m putting on makeup in the mornings.

How else can you use Bio Oil? (I have yet to try all of these uses, but I will be sure to report back when I do!)

  • Mix a drop into your powder blush or bronzer for a DIY creamy effect.
  • Remove eye makeup without pulling at your lashes.
  • Say so long to tired eyes, by applying underneath to help reduce dark circles.
  • Protect hair from chlorine by applying before taking a swim.
  • Reduce an itchy and flaky scalp with a simple drop.

Another product I was recently introduced to is L’Oreal Mythic Oil. It’s a lightweight, almost dry oil that leaves your hair super shiny. It tames fly aways and gives you so great moisture, which works wonders for my chemically damaged hair. It also acts as a protectant against heat, so it’s good to use before blow-drying or ironing.

So tell me, what are your favorite multi-use products?
