If you couldn’t tell by now, I’m a huge fan of Poshmark! Why do I love it so much? It gets me some extra cash! I can sell items I no longer want/need. These items are getting a new home, so they’re not creating waste. And it’s an excellent place to shop and find great deals!

You can find my closet here or on the ad to your left. It’s become a ritual before work, during lunch, after work, and before bed. I might be a little obsessed! I wanted to share some tips so that you can get the most out of the app and program, because at first glance, it can be a little overwhelming.

1. Share, Share, Share! See an item you like but maybe it’s not your size? Share it with your followers! See an item for a great price but maybe it’s not your style? Share it! By spreading the item, it will be more likely to sell and the seller will probably help share some of your items too.

2. Make friends! A big part of my success is having a large amount of followers. They are very kind to share my items with their followers and suggest items to their friends.

3. Party time! Attend as many parties as you can! Even if it’s not featuring your ideal designers, go and check it out, share some items, and have fun! At my party, there were nearly 45,000 items shared, which means there are a lot of people browsing and ready to shop!

4. Don’t be stubborn. The brilliant part of Poshmark is that items can sell at any time. If you have someone interested in a few of your items, offer them a discount! Are you hard set on getting a certain price on those new shoes? Be sure to list them higher than you’re willing to sell, so you have room to negotiate.

5. Make Poshmark your first stop! I don’t know how you shop, but I like to plan purchases and search for particular items. The search and filter features are great for finding exactly what I need. Are you more of a impulse shopper? Just browse old parties or your feed for some spontaneous finds!

I hope this helps out. I would highly recommend Poshmark to everyone, even if you don’t have anything to sell.  If you do have something to sell, it’s the perfect platform because it’s easy, accessible, and seamless. I sold on Ebay for years, but after using Poshmark, I never want to go back!
