I am so happy that it’s the weekend! This week was a rough one, to say the least. My highlight was starting my Bikram classes and letting it be my stress release. Husband and I have also been making some awesome treads in the very scary, big-life-decisions department. More on that later though, since not everything is completely hashed out. Nothing like a cliffhanger, right?
Unstitch Me-Financial Freedom: Sarah and I have been great blog friends for a while now. Her Unstitch Me posts always dig a little deeper and discuss the real issues in life. We both have a ton of student debt and are trying to live a normal life while paying it off. She offers some great tips on general finance in this post.
Lotus Wrapped Sticky Rice: I can’t get enough of Luxirare. She is a complete gourmand, but in a natural way. I love how she can take favorites and comfort food and turn them into something so luxurious, for the lack of a better word. I want to definitely attempt these at some point because they’re one of Husband’s favorites!
Drew Barrymore: As much as I love beauty and skincare advice, I usually can’t get through the interviews on Into the Gloss. However, this one completely captivated me. Drew is so relatable and fun that I just wanted the article to keep going. She seems like one of those celebrities that would be a great friend to have.
Jean Paul Gaultier’s Greatest Hits: JPG is and has always been one of my favorites. I’m lucky to own one of his dresses and it fits like a dream. When I saw this post, it reminded me how I fell in love with fashion, mainly looking at every runway show on Style.com in my high school yearbook class. It reminded me that I need to look back at some of the greats more often.
Numbers and Labels: I read a lot of articles with this similar theme, but this one really went to the core. VV is such a sweet person in real life and it truly shines through in her writing. I particularly loved that she mentioned that weight and sizes don’t necessarily correlate to health. You can be a size 2, and not be healthy. Her focus is that we should work to be healthy, accept and love ourselves, and stop hating our bodies. If you don’t read any of the other articles, just read this one!
28 Authentically Good Shopping Tips: I want to print out this list and keep it with me at all times. Seriously, this is no-nonsense advice for those that have the tendency to impulse shop. It’s also perfect for anyone on a budget or just wanting to focus more on investment dressing. It talked me out of two really bad decisions so far!
