Well, after the sad and unfortunate events of yesterday, I don’t have too much to say. My thoughts and prayers go out to all that are in the Newton community. I also have been hearing that many people aren’t quite in the holiday spirit this year. With the election drama, the horrific hurricane, and the general state of the economy, I can understand why. Here’s to hoping for some positivity, some joy, and some love during the holidays.
Requiem for a Dream: This is perfectly styled to showcase how an all-black outfit should really look. The Cherry Blossom Girl always does an amazing job, but this is an outfit I could actually see myself wearing.
Amelia Earhart Prenup: For the 1930s, Miss Earhart sure had a radical idea of marriage. Although I may not agree with some of her ideas (like open marriage), I think it’s a perfect fit for such a feminist icon.
Ticker Talk: For the longest time, I have been contemplating investing in fashion in a different way; like stocks. Elissa from Style Wire completely broke things down for me and I’m completely loving this series, especially when it features Prada.
Parisian Tulle: And this is why I need a tulle skirt. Seriously. Enough said. Actually, not enough said. If a 40+ woman (gorgeous, by the way) can pull off a top hat AND a tulle skirt, I think I can too.
Rage Against Everything: You remember when I discussed my anger issues? Well, this is a much more thought out and elaborate article on how I sometimes feel. Shannon compares her anger to a comfort and I have to say that I have felt the same at times. It’s a beautiful story about how one emotion can save, torment, and destroy you. Ironically enough, it’s an issue that only shows its face to few, those that generally mean the most to you.
How did your week go?
