Reads of the Week

Dec 22

What an exciting week! My reasoning actually has zilch to do with the holidays and more to do with blogging! But if I don’t get a chance to talk to you before the holidays, have a lovely one and a happy new year!

First, I’m going to be hosting the first Poshmark party of 2013! On January 2nd, you can join me on the Poshmark app (download free here!) where I share my closet, which is currently listed with 50+ items and some that are brand new with tags! I couldn’t be more thrilled about this opportunity. It’s a great community, has plenty of great shopping, and is a wonderful way to make some quick money!

Secondly, I don’t think I’ve mentioned yet, but I will be a panelist on The Blog Workshop! It runs from May 17-19th and happens online, which means you can participate from the comfort of your own home and in your pj’s, if you like! It’s a true conference with great topics and you will be guaranteed to learn a few things. And if you’re a student blogger, there are even ways to get scholarships and grants!

And now we’re on to the reads of the week! Bare with me because I found a lot of great content!

DIY Drying Lotion: I don’t get a ton of breakouts, luckily, but when I do, I always go for a drying lotion. Fortunately I found this diy method that will probably cost you less than a cup of coffee!

Holiday Dressing: I’m a new follower to Coco + Kelly, but after this post I knew it would be for good. It’s simple, clean, and fun and quite an exemplary fashion post for the holidays!

Beautiful People: This feature of Jane Iredale really resonated with me. After the mess of this week’s beauty adventure, it was nice to read someone that stands for the same beauty ideals that I have.

Fashion by Lillian Bassman: I love vintage photos, especially when they’re focused on fashion. The accessories of a time past really warm my heart. And more than anything, these photos are a true art.

End of An Era:  I found this article on Chuck Bass, the upper east side’s fictional bad boy, quite endearing. On a personal note, Chuck was my favorite, will always be my favorite, and there’s nothing more charming than hearing his signature line one more time. “I’m Chuck Bass.” I will definitely miss you, Gossip Girl!

Holiday Tulle: I know, I know. More tulle. I’m sorry. I just can’t get enough. And I will keep showing you more tulle until I get some of my very own. I hope it’s soon, for your sake.
