Earlier on I told you that I don’t have one big resolution for the year. Maybe it’s too overwhelming, but I generally do better with small goals throughout the year.  Recently, I’ve had a few ideas on my mind. Luckily, my #HTC OneX+ from AT&T. has been with me to document the progress! #TroopOneX

1. Consideration: I often forget that others have a life too. I tend to take things very personally and get upset easily. A big task for me is to slow down and realize that I’m not the only one possibly having a bad day or dealing with a crisis.  I purchased these sea-themed cards to help in taking the time to write those I care about, as well as writing my pen pal in the Correspondence Club.

2. Health: Like most everyone else, I’m trying to take steps to improve my health. I realize it’s not going to be a quick fix, but more of a lifestyle adjustment. I’m ok with that, but it does take some reminding every now and then. Also, my sweet tooth is having a very, very hard time with this. Luckily I’ve started doing bikram yoga in my neighborhood and I have completely and totally fallen in love.

3. Consumption: In 2012, I focused a lot on wardrobe planning. I researched quite a bit on wasteful practices and have vowed to improve my own footprint in over consumption. I won’t be turning minimalist by any means, but I plan to only buy what I need, sell what I don’t, and recycle what’s left over. Up top is a photo of some of my current listings on Poshmark.

Yeah, it’s tough for me too. I’m doing bikram yoga, which I love and luckily it doesn’t require shoes, but my biking does! At least there are lots of cute sneakers out there right now!
